​What is a brief history of WALA?
A group of 28 Australian Labradoodle Breeders created WALA in 2018. These breeders shared a deep knowledge of the breed, breeding, and a vision for a breed club with education and collaboration at its core. Eleven of the founders volunteered to form the first WALA Board of Directors.

How do I become a breeder member?
You can apply to join WALA by submitting a New Member Application.
Are dual memberships with other ALD breeder associations allowed?
WALA welcomes dual members​.

How can I become more involved with WALA?
WALA​ members can offer to volunteer by contacting the WALA Board.

Does WALA have a pedigree database?
Yes, more information can be found on our WALA Breeder Perks page.

Does WALA accept pedigrees of other breed organizations?
WALA accepts pedigrees from the published list of approved breeder organizations. Pedigrees can be submitted to our registration team for pre-approval. All pedigrees are graded according to the guidelines set by WALA.

Does WALA accept dogs not registered by an organization on the approved list?
Pedigrees that are traceable to approved clubs, with registration numbers and breeds that can be traced to six generations or more, can be approved on a case-by-case basis.

Does WALA honor regional laws that conflict with their own rules or regulations?
In situations where the regional laws of the WALA Member Breeder's country of residence conflict with the WALA Rules and Regulations or Code of Ethics, the regional laws will take precedence.

Can pet families join WALA?
The WALA Pet Society is for pet owners who wish to connect with other ALD enthusiasts in WALA’s quest to protect the future wellbeing and continued development of the Australian Labradoodle. Joining helps WALA breeders continue their mission of responsible breeding of the ALD.

How is WALA different from other ALD breed associations?
